About OPM

The Office for Public Management (OPM) helps public services to improve outcomes for service users and communities, through research, evaluation, engagement, leadership and organisational development. You can find out more about our work by visiting our main website.

This blog is a space to discuss issues of public interest. The posts are written by OPM members and guests, based on the lessons we’re learning from our work with organisations across the country in many sectors, including local and central government, health and social care, education and skills and children’s services.

There’s a particular focus on the practical side of the government’s Big Society and localism reform agenda, the challenges of building resilient and integrated communities, the complex dynamics of local organisational change and efficiency, employee-owned mutuals and personalisation of health and social care.

Views expressed in posts are not necessarily those of OPM as a whole or of the organisations we’re working with.

If you have any comments, questions or feedback on the blog as a whole, please email Phil Copestake: pcopestake@opm.co.uk.
